Mediterranean Inspired Feast
Enjoy the tastes of the Mediterranean with this delicious meal that includes grilled lamb chops and a salad full of cucumber, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, and olives. Rich and fruity notes of Chianti Classico wine go well with this meal, which is a celebration of bright flavors and high-class cooking.
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of Chianti Classico wine
- 500g of lamb loin chops
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 200g of cherry tomatoes
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 100g of feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1/4 cup of Kalamata olives
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Warm up the grill over medium-high heat
Cut up the garlic and put it in a small bowl
Add the olive oil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper
Use this to coat the lamb chops
For medium-rare, or until done to your liking, grill the lamb chops for three to four minutes on each side
Take it off the grill and give it some time to rest
Get the salad ready while the lamb rests
Cherry tomatoes, red onion slices, cucumber, feta cheese, and Kalamata olives should all be put in a large bowl together
Add balsamic vinegar to the salad and gently toss to mix
Put the grilled lamb chops on a plate and top the Mediterranean salad with fresh parsley and lemon slices
Pour glasses of Chianti Classico wine to go with the food
