Copycat Olive Garden Chicken Scampi



With this tasty recipe, you can make the famous Olive Garden Chicken Scampi at home. In a tasty lemon garlic sauce, tender chicken breasts are cooked just right and served on top of linguine pasta.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 pound linguine pasta, cooked according to package instructions

Instructions:

Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then dredge them in flour, shaking off any excess

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat

Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side

Remove chicken from skillet and set aside

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat

Add minced garlic and saut until fragrant, about 1 minute

Pour in chicken broth, white wine, lemon juice, lemon zest, and crushed red pepper flakes

Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce slightly thickens, about 5 minutes

Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing flavors to meld together

Stir in chopped parsley and remove from heat

Serve chicken and sauce over cooked linguine pasta

Garnish with additional chopped parsley and lemon slices if desired
