Orange Cinnamon Rolls Eggless
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- For the filling:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts optional
- For the orange glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp fresh orange juice
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Warm milk and yeast should be combined in a mixing bowl
Until frothy, let it sit for five minutes
To the yeast mixture, add cinnamon, sugar, orange juice, and zest
Also add melted butter
Blend thoroughly
Add the flour and salt gradually, stirring to combine and form a dough
The dough should be smooth and elastic after about five minutes of kneading on a floured surface
The dough should double in size in one to two hours if it is placed in a bowl that has been greased, covered with a damp cloth
On a surface dusted with flour, pound the dough into a rectangle shape
Evenly cover the dough with the softened butter
If preferred, top with chopped nuts, cinnamon, and brown sugar
Using the long side of the dough, tightly roll it into a log
12 equal slices of the log should be cut and placed in a baking dish that has been greased
For a further 30 to 45 minutes, cover and allow them to rise
Adjust the oven temperature to 350F/175C, and bake the rolls for 20 to 25 minutes, or until they turn golden brown
Make the orange glaze by blending powdered sugar, orange juice, and vanilla extract until it becomes smooth while the rolls bake
While the rolls are still warm, brush them with the orange glaze after they are finished
