Fall-off-the-bone Slow Smoked Pork Ribs

Indulge in the irresistible tenderness and flavor of slow-smoked pork ribs. A perfect balance of sweet and savory with a hint of spice, creating a juicy and delicious dining experience.

Ingredients:

  • 2 racks of baby back pork ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • Wood chips for smoking hickory or applewood

Instructions:

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs

In a bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create the dry rub

Rub the dry rub generously over both sides of the ribs

Wrap the ribs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for better flavor

Prepare your smoker with the wood chips, bringing it to a temperature of 225F 107C

Mix apple cider vinegar and yellow mustard in a bowl for basting

Place the ribs on the smoker grates and smoke for 4-5 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature

Baste the ribs with the vinegar-mustard mixture every hour

Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick between the bones; it should go in and out with little resistance

Once done, let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing

Serve and enjoy the fall-off-the-bone goodness!
