Perfect Poached Eggs



This recipe will guide you to make perfectly poached eggs with runny yolks and tender egg whites. They are a delightful addition to breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Fill a deep saucepan with water, about 2/3 full, and bring it to a gentle simmer over medium heat

Add the white vinegar to the simmering water

This helps the egg whites coagulate faster

Crack one egg into a small bowl or ramekin, being careful not to break the yolk

Create a gentle whirlpool in the simmering water using a spoon, and gently slide the egg into the center of the whirlpool

This helps the egg whites wrap around the yolk

Repeat the process for the remaining eggs, one at a time

Cook the eggs for about 3-4 minutes for a runny yolk or longer for a firmer yolk, depending on your preference

Using a slotted spoon, carefully remove the poached eggs from the water and drain them on a paper towel

Season with salt and pepper to taste

Serve immediately, and enjoy your perfect poached eggs!
