Low Carb Margarita
A refreshing low-carb twist on the classic Margarita perfect for celebrating Cinco De Mayo without sacrificing your dietary goals.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz tequila
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz orange liqueur such as triple sec or Cointreau
- 1/2 oz agave nectar or sugar-free sweetener
- Salt for rimming optional
- Lime wheel for garnish optional
Instructions:
Put ice cubes in a shaker
Put agave nectar or sugar into the shaker along with tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and sugar
Good shaking for about 15 to 20 seconds, or until cold
It should be strained into a glass that is already cold and full of ice
You can rim the glass with salt if you want to
Just run a lime wedge around the edge and dip it in salt
If you want, add a lime wheel as a garnish
